In a far-flung distant future, mankind thrives in a metropolis built and run by the RUC mega-conglomerate.Twelve years ago, an accident that came to be known as Blast Fall devastated the city and left thousands dead and missing. And though the RUC has rebuilt the city, all is not well: registered citizens live in considerable comfort; while those unregistered are left to fend for themselves and suffer a slow death. Meanwhile, violent crimes are on the rise as cybernetic body parts produced by RUC proliferate the city. A bounty-hunter, Roy Revant works the seedy streets tracking down some of the city's most wanted criminals. However, he's also looking for the daughter he lost during Blast Fall, and when he accidentally encounters Solty, a mysterious girl with no past, Roy decides to adopt her. Unknown to Roy, Solty is being hunted by the RUC - and he and those around him will soon be embroiled in a conspiracy that will threaten the whole of humanity...
